IMPLEMENTATION
GWCUSFC's staff has over 80 years total public outreach and long standing relationships with many small/urban farms and land grant universities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
For this reason, we have been able to successfully utilize our network to form a comprehensive plan for implementation that is purpose-driven and offers valuable deliverables that are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Market research that serves the financially disadvantaged small farms in the region in exchange for hosting workshops and contributing to food banks

  • Help to set up food assess models (such as CSA's; Food Co-ops and Pick-Your-Own) that service communities that have previously been designated as food deserts

  • Partnership with local governments. religious institutions and private entities in order to help develop and manage programs for small farm plots and community gardens

  • Informational sessions about scholarships for agricultural studies at regional and land grant colleges and universities from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)
